HP Deskjet All in one 3512

I have an Hp deskjet 3512 all in one wireless printer, the printer works fine for printing over my network but i can't get my scanner to work i have even tried the sudo xsane and it says no devices available????


Can anyone please tell me how to get my scanner to work please????

I installed the GUI for HPLIP, that worked for me. search for it in the software manager. Then go to menu, Preferences and find HPLIP toolbox and set it up from there. I was just scanning this morning hope this helps.

ok i had to download the newest version of hplip because my printer is new and mint didnt have the drivers out of the box.
So now i got the hplip-3.12.11 installed, and now hplip wont detect my printer when i click on device setup

Please anyone help me im going nuts here

ok so i got the printer to print but xsane says it can't find my device???????

how do i go about getting xsane to work with my wireless printer?
