Hello

I have a problem with touchpad scrolling -it doesn't scroll - and I don't see any settings for a touchpad (only mouse settings are there), although I just installed some pointing drivers and those don't show up either, my OS is 64-bit Nadya, desktop is Mate, does anybody know what to do?t

Thanks for the quick answer, but hitting FN and F7 didn't work and installing pointing devices didn't make touchpad preferences to appear under mouse preferences; it seems like my touchpad just doesn't exist for OS for some reason. I also searched pointing devices from my file system and tried to make something there (just played around with those files) but without success (Sry, I'm still kinda new, just my 2nd day with MInt).

Ok, seems that some Ubuntu guys already detected that problem: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1067801

That probably describes my issue, because I have the same the same computer mentioned there.

Shortly; Touchpad is misdetected as a PS/2 Mouse on a Fujitsu A512

I didn't undersand very well if that problem was soleved by them or not.

Anyway, if anybody knows what to do if toucpad is wrongly detected, let me know, because that small thing is kinda annoying.

Well ,I'm afraid, you have choice: you can take the risk and download the driver and hope for the best or you can just accept this annoyance.

It says that scrolll doesn't work, only 2 finger scroll works.
Sry but it is kind of useless for noobie to watch that long list of files and not know where to put them and what to do with them.
But thanks anyway.
Seems that some problems in Mint have considerable history without anybody has been really able to solve them.
Just saying, not complaining.
