Because the temperature of HD in Linux is higher?

Post by Ocean »

Sorry for the bad English

In Linux I have a working temperature of HD which is about 48°-50°, while the same conditions (with no program started) under Windows the temperature is always on 42°-44°.

This can cause increased wear?

Thank you

Is the temperature of other compontents also higher perhaps? The most common cause of higher temperatures in laptops is hybrid graphics. Please open Terminal in the menu, type this command and press Enter:

Code: Select all

inxi -Gx
Then please post the output here.

No, the CPU temperature is the same as that in Windows: 20°-22°

This is the output:

"Graphics: Card: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10] bus-ID: 01:00.0
X.Org: 1.13.0 drivers: ati,radeon (unloaded: fbdev,vesa) Resolution: 1280x800@60.0hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on ATI RV350 GLX Version: 2.1 Mesa 9.0 Direct Rendering: Yes"
