did an apt-get autoremove to remove unnecessary files and it must have included all mint tools (Menu, Update, etc.) Is there a command to restore all LM tools/default programs for LM 14?
Thanks.

Re: mint tools gone! help!
Autoremove wouldn't do that, but if you are still using Linux Mint 14 MATE then install the package mint-meta-mate to get the default installed programs back. You can do so also with the command:
Code: Select all
apt udpate && apt install mint-meta-mate
