Confusion about LAMP Installation

Postby altair786 » Sat Mar 16, 2013 6:57 am

well i have a few links that describe how to install LAMP stack on mint but after installating it twice on two different laptops i am getting the same error/warning after i try to restart the server :

"Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1 for ServerName"

This thing comes up when i tried to change the server's default root folder var/www....

I would greatly appreciate if anyone helps me in getting LAMP properly installed and then change the server's root folder to /home/altair/myfolder....

This is a warning, not an error. For a local installation, this message can be ignored.
