Fn key and right arrow lock screen (unwanted)

Post by meshoo »

Hello,

I just installed LM15 on my Acer Aspire 1640 and have come upon this issue. When trying to adjust the screen brightness (using the fn key + right arrow combination), my screen locks (the lock screen appears). I _can_ adjust the brightness, but not without locking the screen.

I turned off the lock screen setting in system settings, but I guess this applies only when the screen locks after a set time.

The mentioned key combination didn't work perfectly in LM14 (it tried to start _something_) but I _could_ adjust the brightness without locking the screen.

Thanks for any help.

Would you open the Terminal and type: ls /lib/udev/keymaps
and post the results.

Then type: /lib/udev/findkeyboards
and from the result get the input number.

Then type: /lib/udev/keymap -i input/eventX
where X is the input number from the step above.

Post the results.
