Can't see windows share

Postby magobe » Sat Jun 14, 2008 7:28 pm

I have a home server with several shared folders (WinXP Pro). When I boot from the live CD I can browse to the server and see the folders but when I install Mint 5 there is no folder showing in Nautilus. However, if I use Gnome Commander and navigate to the server through the SMB button, all folders show up. Yesterday I installed Kubuntu 8.04 on the same machine and it had no problem to access the shared folders. With Mint 5 I can see the server but no folders. With Mint 4 it worked flawlessly
Any idea anyone.

Haven't checked on the differrence between Elyssa and Kubuntu
However Daryna used fusesmb which you can install from synaptic if you want
fusesmb is not considered stable enough to be in a LTS
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
