Hello Linux Mint Community! I've recently ran into a problem while setting up my VPN. Sometime during the process I recieved a prompt asking me to enter a password for 'Default' keyring. Unfortunately I just entered gibberish because well, I was drunk and I just wanted to get connected.

So now everytime I try to connect to my VPN I get an error asking me to "Enter password for keyring 'Default' to unlock". If I exit out of the prompt it comes right back about 5 times until it finally goes away and I can enter my VPN password and connect. This is really frustrating and not a very logical way to connect everytime I want to use the internet. Is there anyway I can remove or reset the Default keyring for my VPN or someway to clear it out and start over without having to reinstall the distro? Thank you very much for your help! :)

open passwords and keys from the menu
choose view and mark by keyring
right click on the login folder and select change password. Set the password to blank.

or

First of all, we have to search for Passwords and Encryption Keys. Also you can open it from terminal:

Code: Select all

seahorse
You have to go to Passwords Tab, and there you will se a folder: Passwords: login
Right Click and then Change Password. Enter your old password, and leave blank the new password fields.

Now you can try rebooting, it shouldn't appear now!
