This is as far as I know a security feature - you are always asked to interactively log in in after suspend and hibernate
It's the same if you restart X - no autologin
I may be wrong....

Well - it's there for a reason
I have had really bad experience with both suspend and hibernate and I don't think it helps that much so perhaps I should shut up when it comes to that ....
