Is package software-sources installed? Try to run it in a Terminal.

Usually you can fix the lists in a Terminal as well in /etc/apt/sources.list or the directory /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

When I run 'software-sources' in the terminal nothing happens. It hangs for a couple of seconds and return the cursor to me. Although I can view the sources.list in /etc/apt/sources.list.d, I wouldn't have a clue in how to fix it. I'm not sure what is preventing mintsources from launching as it should. I'm baffled this is for sure.

right clk on Menu, then left clk on Edit Menu. When the launchers appear for the menu, hilite Preferences on the left, right clk on Software Manager on the right side, choose properties. Make sure the command in there reads

Code: Select all

software-properties-gtk
