accessdennied,

The auto update manager runs about 15 minutes so for a minute or so that would cause a lock conflict, just try ia again.

Try rebuilding the package info. Open the terminal and:

Code: Select all

sudo -i

Code: Select all

mv /var/lib/apt/lists /var/lib/apt/lists.old

Code: Select all

mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial

Code: Select all

apt-get clean

Code: Select all

apt-get update
If everything works OK then you can

Code: Select all

rm -r /var/lib/apt/lists.old
Good luck
