auto WIFI reconnect after modem reboots

Post by td27 »

hi, I'm running a new DELL 15 (3521) with a new install of LM16 and it's great.
However, I notice that when my internet modem reboots following a mains failure, my other boxes re-connect automatically as the WIFI becomes available. My linux setup doesn't. I have to manually off/on the WIFI switch to get it to re-connect.!

Is this normal? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

In my network settings I can set a flag to connect automatically to my wifi (mint16 KDE)

mbohets, thanks for the info. I'm running Cinnamon and there doesn't appear to be any "options" for WIFI.
I have found a similar box to the one you show in your info but it appears to only apply to the cable option. (the tag is ticked)
