How do I setup DSL broadband?

Postby jacatone » Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:37 pm

I'm running LM4 main. Haven't a clue how to configure DSL, once the modem is plugged into my computer. It comes with a software CD, but it's for Windows and the provider (Verizon) won't support Linux. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The DSL modem should be set up to lease an IP address automatically. Have you had any luck connecting?

I have OpenSuSE 10.3 & am on Verizon DSL, it works fine. No setup was needed.
