Your specs look pretty good, you should be able to run Cinnamon or anything you want. Yes, 1.4 GB is the whole thing. Just like the LM 16 version you have there. Maybe you can do an "overnight" download? Start it and just let it run.

Dual boot with your Win 7 is always a good idea, until you get more familiar with Linux. There might be a few programs in Windows you'll still need, at least for a little while. You can buy a disc here. https://www.osdisc.com/products/linux/l ... =linuxmint. Make sure you order a 64-bit version if that's what you want. (it should run fine on your machine). When it comes time to install, post back on the forums. People will help you get through that part. 8)

Also, make sure you're using Mint 17, not 16 :wink:
