Hi Johanna,

with your laptop connected through ethernet, go to control center and click on driver manager.
Does it give you an option to install additional drivers?

I had already looked in there but i have no idea what to do. It gives me two options ( I took a screen shot, but I don't know how to put it on this topic. When I copy and paste, it just puts the link to 'pictures' on my netbook.

So first option :Broadcom Corporation: T77H106.00 Wireless Half-size Mini PCIe Card
This device is not working.
O bcmwl-kernel-source
version 6.30.223.141 +bdcom-Oubuntu2
Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source
O (this O has been ticked) Do not use the device

Second option: Unkown : Unkown
This device is not working.

O linux-firmware-nonfree
Version 1.14ubuntu 1
Non-free firmware for Linux kernel drivers

O Cintiunue using a manually installed driver

O (this one is ticked but in very faint letters) Do not use the device

After that I don't know how to go about lookng for a driver, or where to look.
I tried the terminal, but if I put sudo apt wifi driver, the command is not recognized. So I obviously i am not doing that right... :(

did you check the small icon on the bottom right and do you have a switch to enable or disable wifi (most laptops do have one or a combination of keys to do so)
to post the screenshot you need to click on upload attachment, click browse, select the file and then click add the file. Then only click on submit
