I have read wiki and forum but I did not realize clearly how to upgrade release 4.0 to 5.0 as you do in ubuntu automatically.
What's the Mint way?Simply change repos and dist-upgrade?

A clean install is the recommended way from 4 to 5. I believe an upgrade tool will be included with 6.
