SOLVED convert jpg to pdf SOLVED

Post by johanna »

I want to convert some jpg files into pdf and found out I need imagemagick for that.
So i looked in the menu in graphics and did not see it. So looked in programmes manager and there I noticed it was installed.
I removed and reinstalled it.
It still does not appear in the graphics menu, or anywhere else in the menu.
i then installed it via the terminal, and I still can not find it.
Where on earth has it gone?
regards, Johanna

Apparently, imagemagick is not a single application, but a suite of command line tools, including the following:

/usr/bin/animate.im6
/usr/bin/compare.im6
/usr/bin/composite.im6
/usr/bin/conjure.im6
/usr/bin/convert.im6
/usr/bin/display.im6
/usr/bin/identify.im6
/usr/bin/import.im6
/usr/bin/mogrify.im6
/usr/bin/montage.im6
/usr/bin/stream.im6

I imagine you need to use the convert tool for what you want to do. To learn more about convert, enter 'man convert' in a terminal.

"You can also use GIMP to open a JPG and then export it as a PDF... just sayin'..."

have been using LOo draw - import jpg into draw & print - print to pdf. ..
- same function as in writer, as in print to pdf, instead of print to hard copy.
