Qualcomm Atheros Ar9285 issue after wake up

Post by fobster »

Hello everyone,

I am very new to linux and tried lubuntu prior to switching to mint. I am loving mint right now except for a minor issue. I seem to loose wireless connectivity every time after the laptop comeback from suspend. However, if I were to restart the machine it will seem to work.

Current Install: Mint 17.1 xfce

Laptop: Acer Aspire one, Atom N450 (1.66GHz) 2G of RAM, the wireless adopter is the Atheros AR2985.

I browse and try different fixes but I can't sort out an easy way to turn of the power management of the wireless adopter. I don't even know if that is the best fix for this issue.

Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure if this will help, but it's worth a go:

The second answer is a (possible) permanent fix.
