Hello,
I did something I didn't mean to on my FireFox Mozilla web-browser. Somehow I accidentally reset the settings and now it's changed everything significantly different. I no longer see the words “file, edit, view, etc., etc.” at the top bar on the left hand side where I relied on those menu's. Any idea on how I can get that part back at least? I'm running version 37.0.2
Thank you

Right-click mouse on empty part of the Firefox panel (just below the buttons x - +, not on the same height as those buttons) - tick: Menu bar.

I think Pjotr is referring to the "hamburger" icon (the three white parallel lines) just under the
X close window at the upper right of FF. Right click that and click on "Menu bar"

Hi Punchy71,
If helpful for the future. If Firefox menus are not needed permanently, they can show temporarily by pressing left ALT on your keyboard.
