Can't find Toolbar(?)

Post by Phylly » Wed May 20, 2015 5:13 pm

I am terrible with computers, especially remembering where to find things. Have just had Linux Mint 17.1 installed on my laptop, and am trying to get things back the way I had them before. And the last thing (I hope) I can't find is the Toolbar(?) tabs that usually go at the top of the screen (File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Table, Tools, Window and Help). I have it while in a file or document, but not if I'm on the internet. Am I looking for the wrong thing? Help!!!!

In web browser Firefox, you can enable the toolbar (menu bar) like this: right-click just below the "- + x" window buttons - tick: Menu bar. :)

Or, if, like me, you like a more sparse look, you can keep the Menu bar hidden by default and unhide it by hitting the Alt button.
