Mint 17- Linux version of "dxdiag"?

Post by gastrof »

On Windows you can type "dxdiag" in the "run" window, hit enter, and get a window to display showing the ID and speed of your processor, as well as how much memory the machine has, along with a lot of other information.

Is there a way to get the same info to display using Mint 17?

I've also found that

System Settings
Hardware
System Info

Provides operating system info (which Windows' dxdiag doesn't!) but also gives you the desired processor info along with how much memory you have. Even tells you the size of the hard drive.

I am going to try and use what you gave me as well and see what I get.

Thanks.
