GRLDR removal

Post by zippytex »

I had puppy linux installed on ide disk.
I decided I wanted to install DOS.
I repartioned the disk and issued the command to remove mbr
I reformatted it and installed Doc 6.2
Upon reboot it gave me this message
Cannot find GRLDR in all devices.
What command do I need to remove this from the hard drive?

Thanks very much for your response.

Well I'd probably run dos 6.2 and fdisk /mbr to write the Dos MBR to the hard drive..
--I assume you have a bootable Dos 6x disk(diskette), CD or USB drive..

If not you could just reformat the hard drive with a Linux OS and then install Dos 6x..

Puppy has its version of a dos MBR grub loader..
