How to get Ubuntu Add/Remove Applications solved

Post by indygeek79 » Sat Dec 27, 2008 2:03 pm

Does anyone know how to get the Add.Remove Applications from ubuntu to install in Mint? its the one thing that i feel is missign when I moved from Ubuntu to Mint. Synaptic gets it done but I much prefer the easier use of the Add/Remove Applications in Ubuntu. I don't even know what the app is called to look for it.

If this has been coverd, I am sorry I tried to search for Add/remove but didn't find anything

In a terminal run

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install software-properties-gtk

I'm an idiot anyway. The OP was asking about Add/Remove. It is

Code: Select all

gnome-app-install
I gave them the software sources package. I haven't tried it on Felicia yet. Thanks for the heads up.
