Is there a System Restore disc/ function with Mint?

Post by alun_sundry » Sun Dec 28, 2008 8:55 pm

I'm new to Linux, though it has filled up about 50% of my waking hours for the last fortnight, and I just wanted to know what sort of safety net there is against having to do reinstallations. I haven't seen a link, but is there a downloadable iso to burn for resetting things in the event of system problems?

I am making a few posts in the next couple of days to get some things clarified for myself, but this seems like the priority, as I am a bit bothered by having had to reboot a few times when for example I lost sound or as happened earlier today the Menu > Quit procedure did nothing. I imagine the same problems would have occurred if I'd stuck with Ubuntu 8.10?

Thanks.
