Program install menu addition

Post by H0L7 » Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:13 am

I just moved from Ubuntu and the only thing I miss is the ease of browsing for new applications and the massive library available.
In fact that has been my main "selling" point on convincing people to use Linux when they have me build a computer for them.
I know that i can still install at least most if not all of those applications through the package manage but I would like to be able to make it as easy as it is in plain Ubuntu for the average user,

how do i go about doing this? don't worry if its complicated I am comfortable using command line and have had a ridiculous amount of terminal use playing with Ubuntu over the last 3 weeks.

Code: Select all

apt install gnome-app-install
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
