Postby calymea » Thu Jan 01, 2009 2:30 am

Hi, can any one recommend a good, easily obtainable PCI sound card that works well in Mint 5?
Thanks all.

I've had good luck with Turtle Beach and Sound Blaster products in Linux. Both are easy to find @ Best Buy, Wal-Mart etc. Avoid the X-Fi cards from SB though, the drivers seem to be hit and miss. I'm currently running a SB Audigy Platinum with no issues in Elyssa 64-bit, it even detected the firewire connection correctly.
