How to stop Linux Mint asking for passwords
How do I stop Linux Mint asking me for a password when I do things like start the software manager, change date and time, format a USB drive, install programs, etc. I am the only person that will have access to my PC so passwords are unnecessary. It is really a pain.

Hello, robocat893.
Go through this thread carefully: Identity Crisis! (Account Permissions) SOLVED
Expressed much more verbosely by the thread starter, but in effect he asked exactly the same question as you.
Everything that needs to be said on this subject can be found in that thread.
Best regards,
Karl

In that thread, please don't just read the message which actually describes how to do it, but also the messages before that.... TL;DNR: do *not* remove your password requirement. It's the cornerstone of Linux security.robocat893 wrote:Thanks!
