Beryl on KDE doesn't seem to quite work.

Post by Reuel »

I managed to stumble (I'm new...) through and get Beryl installed. Everything seemed to work, and it downloaded a bunch of stuff, but then when I went to run "beryl-administrator" (something like that) it didn't work. I looked in the /usr/bin folder, and beryl wasn't there. Any suggestions?

Open console and type beryl-manager
you should then get icon in toolbar
To check for beryl type, whereis beryl
I get
whereis beryl
beryl: /usr/bin/beryl /usr/lib/beryl /usr/X11R6/bin/beryl /usr/bin/X11/beryl /usr/share/beryl /usr/share/man/man1/beryl.1.gz
If running KDE load auquamarine
You may have to change some settings in manager, right click on Icon if you get it.
Any problems come back
Nick

Help with downloading and installing Beryl can be found in the Mint Wiki.
