Force internet connection

Post by topboss1 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 11:53 am

I'm running Sarah with all the updates and now when it goes to automatic log out and then you re-login I have no Wi-Fi service. I have to RESTART Linux. Is there a way to force Wi-Fi connect? Sarah worked great when I first installed it, now it's no as good after all the updates.

Back when I had WiFi i had to use 'reset' too, but only the network part...

Code: Select all

### Emergency Stop for the NetWork Manager...
    sudo killall NetworkManager
### Pause to let it recover...
    sleep 7
### Start it up and let it run wild again...
    sudo NetworkManager & disown
...and you sometimes have to log out for the GUI to notice.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named "manual".
