No Wifi Option - HP ENVY x360 m6-w103dx

I installed Linux Mint 18 on the above HP laptop model.
My first impression . . . Linux Mint 18 is a beautiful desktop OS; installation was quick as I was at the login screen before I knew it. However, it was with a few clicks that I realized I had no wifi connection — a serious regression. In the computing world of today (2016), the screen (desktop), sound, and wifi connection are a must and there are no exceptions to this rule. And might I add, my short Ethernet cable is not an alternative to this problem.
Okay, my wifi is reported as BLOCKED and I can't unblock it. What is the simple solution to this problem? After getting over this hurdle, I'll be able to evaluate this wonderful Linux distribution.
