I had some problems with videoplayback, so i did a fresh install. However, now my touchpad is not working. It works beautifully on the live cd, but not after installing it. ANy ideas?

Just getting the obvious solutions out the way first...

When you click Menu -> Mouse and Touchpad, then click on the Touchpad screen, is the Enable Touchpad option set to "on"?

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but I remember needing to to that last time I installed Mint a year or so ago.

I cannot find a mouse and touchpad section. I can only find a mouse section, but once inside no touchpad options.
i run this on terminal

yoshiki2@yoshiki2-Aspire-one-1-431 ~ $ synclient TouchpadOff=0
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?

the problem was on the Bios. Somehow the touchpad was set to advanced instead of basic. Anyway thanks
