Driver problems: HP Pavilion x2 detachable

Post by friluftsliv »

Hi Mint fans and users,
As said above, I finally made it to install a Linux version on this netbook, that was preinstalled with Windows 10.
So, most things work.
Few things don't work:
- Webcam,
- Sound system,
- Touchscreen does not have all features (scrolling not possible).

This is my system info https://gist.github.com/anonymous/f7598 ... 89fe761f01
Is there any ambitious Linux user out there who can help me or even provide drivers for these hardware stuff (which is integrated in the tablet like pc)?

Cheers and thanks a lot in advance!

Your sound problems may have to do with the PPA you've enabled for audio.

Try the latest available kernel; the 4.8 series has a newer one available, but there's also the 4.10 to try.

And just a word of warning before jumping to 4.10 - just make sure you are familiar with the process to go back a level if things don't turn out right. I had to do this myself recently when going to 4.10 > viewtopic.php?t=85639
