Easy way to get mac swipe gestures on Mint?

Post by newbee121 »

Hi folks

After trying a few tutorials with no luck and in o e case actually losing control of the mouse - I'm looking for an easy way to get the mac swipe gestures (i.e 3 x fingers on the touch pad to switch between windows etc.) to work on Mint?

Has anyone out there got this running on their machine and if so how did you do it?

Thanks

Ask that also at Zorin forums, since they have a MAC like desktop available on it.
All things go better with Mint. Mint julep, mint jelly, mint gum, candy mints, pillow mints, peppermint, chocolate mints, spearmint,....

So far I can't work out how to do it... I've tried a few tutorials but nothing has worked yet? I always seem to stumble into some error with the coding at the end of the tutorial

Thanks

I've seem this tutorial on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNexgp_PNnk

I love the guys layout on ubuntu with everything lined down the left-hand side of the page

I'm going to give it a shot - does anyone out there know how to get a similar desktop layout?

Thanks

Followed the instructions on here - https://github.com/iberianpig/xSwipe

But still can't get it to work. Output when trying to run:

The 4.20 kernel merged support for the Apple Magic TrackPad II. Maybe they picked up some additional swipe actions support, too.
Hope is not a plan

I was never able to have those gestures. Linux only seems to have the most basic touchpad features. :(
