if i download a mmorpg game which is for windows will that on linux?

Perhaps with Wine, you will need to install it through the Package Manager or mintInstall.

Be more specific.
Which one? I know people get Wow going, but don't know about other games.
A good way to find this out is by googling name of game + ubuntu or linux mint. (if it works in Buntu, there are chances it will in Mint :)

actually check the wine appdb to check for specific game compatibility.
