I have this issue with all my Mint Mate Installs, where the File Manager get's stuck in the Panel when it is Minimized. This seems to only happen when I Click on the Menu a few times while the File Manager is Minimized in the Panel. Then it has Bold Letters describing the Drive, as usual but in Bold. I wonder if this is a product of me Customizing the Menu, but only with the built in Menu Preferences?
If this is true, can someone tell me how to get my Menu back to Defaults?
Thanks, pcpunk

Re: File Manager get's stuck in Panel
on desktop mates, if you want to bring the panel back to default, it would be enough to reset the panel, try
Code: Select all
mate-panel --reset
Re: File Manager get's stuck in Panel
I'll try it, you think this will also reset the Menu?

Reset the menu by:I'll try it, you think this will also reset the Menu?
mintmenu --reset
Everything in life was difficult before it became easy.
Re: File Manager get's stuck in Panel
I do not know, at the moment I do not have Mint Mate installed, but that command resets the default panel and I also thought of all the default appletspcpunk wrote:I'll try it, you think this will also reset the Menu?

Re: File Manager get's stuck in Panel
Ok guys, still having this issue, on all Mint Mate 18.XX. From Many Live Sessions on various computers and Installed on two computers. No one else is having this issue? It's really irritating me and can't bother installing Mate 18 Series again if this keeps up. Please help!
I was using UUI to install to my Lexar Twist USB's, and tonight tried the inbuilt USB Image Writer in Mate 17.3, and still have the problem?

Re: File Manager get's stuck in Panel
I have to say, this is the reason I don't bother with Linux Mint Mate any more, very sad? I simply won't install it on anything because each and every install ends up with the same problem. It's only the 18.xx series, no matter what I do have the same results. Checked the SHA256 on each one and have tried different USB's, with UUI and Rufus, I give up.
Will someone point me to Mint Bug Reports.
