What version of Mint are you using?

lot of posted problems with newer Intel chipsets, and both Mint & Ubuntu are actively working on it.

Well, lets start by learning what version of Mint you're running. In terminal run the command:
Also while you're there post the output of this command:
BTW that's a lower case L.
