Pseudolukian, your heat sink is filled with dust. With the temperature that high (85 degrees C) I would recommend blowing out the fan and the fins of the heatsink and putting in fresh thermal paste on the CPU. To blow it out, use the exhaust of a vacuum cleaner from the outside after you expose the fan vent. Not that difficult with a Dell 6410.

ok no reply and with 18.3 the same problem.
i will leave mint now and search for different version.

now need to find a way to delete my unused account here.

Did you try with Mint live USB for 18.3?
Mate is a lighter version for resources. You can try it.
