[SOLVED] Download from Mirror Torrent - Open or Save?

Post by bensatlantic »

Mint V17.1 -
New to torrent downloading - when attempting to download a torrent file from a mirror I get the prompt with a choice whether to Open with Transmission or Save. What is the difference between the two choices? When trying the 'Save' option a completed file appears in my download folder but it is small and definitely not the complete .iso - does 'Save' just save the mirror address? Thanks.

Transmission is the default Torrent client on Linux Mint. Your web browser isn't a Torrent client and can't do Torrent downloads.
Open with Transmission to start a Torrent download.
