LOL, nothing wrong with it. You have a compiz effect enabled.

Find the setting in Compiz and disable it if you want.

Code: Select all

I thought you were talking about the wobbly windows. My guess is your monitor may not be as responsive as needed.

Here's the processor, which has inbuilt video.

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+A12-9700P

You are already running the ATI-Radeon drivers for it.

You may find some specific ones from AMD you can use.

You can try some things, like turning on or off the hardware virtualization in your BIOS.

You could enable hardware video acceleration. amdgpu

Hope you can figure all that out.

Sorry but It's hard to me to choose the right driver. Because I had installed the driver half years ago and only show the black screen. Hmm maybe could you show me what is radeon, ati, vdpau, mesa, xorg, catalyst, and etc? It's hard to me to understand... :(

I only know about proprietry drivers and non proprietry drivers on "driver manager".

Sorry to bother...

Thank you :)

Plus: I want to use this laptop for make animation with blender so what is the best glx renderer? Use APU carrizo or the graphic card?

Code: Select all

Card-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Carrizo
           Card-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Sun XT [Radeon HD 8670A/8670M/8690M / R5 M330]

What compositor settings you mean? I'm using Compiz Settings Manager, but I didn't find any option like that one.

I had screen flickering on Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa, x64, XFCE version. I solved it by doing the first suggested step of this thread, that is running "xrandr". There I saw that the current refresh rate for my 1600x900 display was in effect 59.9 Hz. Opening the settings GUI for "Display", showed me that I had that configured to a refresh rate of 60.2 Hz. Changing that to one of the available values, the one of 59.9 Hz, fixed my flickering problem right away.
I hope that some other user may benefit from this simple solution.
