Samsung Xpress Scanner Driver

Post by pftaylor61 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:33 pm

I have honestly searched this forum for answers. I have recently switched from Windows 10 to Linux Mint 18. Most things are going well. I was particularly pleased that my two network printers, a Samsung Xpress C480FW, and a Canon MG3600, were both found and installed quickly and easily - without even needing terminal commands.

However, I found out today that they will not scan. No scanners can be found by Xsane, Simple Scan, or GIMP. I clearly have SANE installed.

I checked this answer: viewtopic.php?f=90&t=209639&p=1093841&h ... r#p1093841 - it seemed similar to my problem, but after I followed the instructions to the letter, I still got no joy. No scanners detected.

What is my next move? I need one of these multi-printers to work as a scanner.
