Host: Mac OSX 10.12.6
Guest: LM 18.3 VirtualBox
Linux Kernel: 4.13.0-32
1. After installing LM 18.3, I included selection of 3d acceleration (under Display settings in Virtual Box).
2. After booting linux and entering login details, the display window does not complete its initialization and a blank screen is displayed.
3. When the 3d acceleration option is unchecked, the VM does start up but it is now running in "software rendering mode".
4. I did not see this problem in LM 18.2
Any ideas to resolve this issue?
I know there have been a few threads related to this topic, but could not find any solutions.

Which version of VB?
Are the guest additions installed inside of the Mint guest? Which version? Press in the running guest host-n to find this information.
