Unable to turn off keyboard backlight

Post by RunAmuck »

Hello,
I recently installed MATE and am currently unable to turn it off.
Every time I manually turn off the backlight using my keyboard, it automatically turns on whenever my screen dims.
Is there a way to make sure my backlight responds to my commands?
How do I control when my screen dims? In Cinamon, I thought I was able to set this time period?

Thank you

what keyboard? Mine has internal control and when I hold the FN key down and press the Scroll key, it turns off the backlight.
All things go better with Mint. Mint julep, mint jelly, mint gum, candy mints, pillow mints, peppermint, chocolate mints, spearmint,....
