Blank desktop on "Gloria" (Solved)
I'm very new at this, so I hope someone can help me. I downloaded mint 6 and everything worked fine on the live cd. Today I saw Mint 7 was out so I made a live cd of it to see which one I liked. My problem is when the mint 7 live cd loads, all I have on my desktop is the menu bar at the bottom. No wallpaper, no icons, Nothing!! Using menu, everything seems to be working except that. anybody else had that problem with "Gloria"?

Did you check the md5sum of the download? And also the disc?

You're right. Dumb me 
I checked it for the download, but not the disc. The download is good, but the disc doesn't match. Should have checked that first before I got on here. Thanks for the help!
