after 7 years I had to reinstall my Mint on my Laptop. Everything was fine after 3 Days of "work" ( with all Email Accounts , my preferred Themes , etc. ) there was no Problem except a cosmtical :
on my HP-625 Laptop the Bluetooth Doesn't worked and the W-Lan ( which I never use except very seldom as a Hotspot to Update other Hardware ... )
Okay found a Driver for Linux on the HP Site , but it was a RPM. I found this Site : https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/821 where they say it's totally no Problem to convert it into DEB.
So I installed it , using sudo apt-get install alien dpkg-dev debhelper build-essential and tried to convert the RPM which doesn't work.
Cause the app was 48 MB to download I thought I will uninstall it to keep the System small. Because I have forgotten the Uninstall command I looked at :

and used : apt-get --purge remove <package> ( yes I put in the right Name of the Package here
)while it runs I saw names like cinnamon , flvstreamer , etc. , and thought " hmm, aren't those really important packs ? " but then I thought no the System wan't destroy it itself, but it does
"Thank you for pressing the Self-destruct Button"
The advanced grub options ( recovery mode ) does also not work.
So is there a chance to reinstall Cinnamon ( and maybe other deleted Apps / packs ) from the Install Stick ( which is really great and fast , but I don't want to create all those Accounts , Themes , etc. again )
( About me : I am mid 40th , and had my first Computer at X.Mas 1984 at that Time I was really good in programming etc. but I am not interested in Computers for its own sake anymore, but I do a lot of creative stuff mostly on Windows and the Linux OS'es are for me just for the Internet and maybe a little Bit Entertainment, so thats why I always forget things like how to uninstall a App )
PS: forgive my bad english but there is no german Forum around where you get answers ( instead they tell you how stupid you are ...)
Use the Live Session as an OS snapshot, just like the installer does...
