MacBook Air 2008 Suspend/Wake

Post by smnbldwn »

I have just installed Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon (x64) on my 2008 MacBook Air. I am really impressed with how it works on the limited resources (2GB RAM) and Intel Core Duo (1.6GHz). However I cannot get it to sleep and wake effectively. It either freezes or the screen goes blank. This applies whether I close the lid or choose "suspend" from the menu. Any tips?

Disable sleep, suspend, hibernate....or read a few of the previous threads, there are no shortage of them.
