[Solved] Managed to chmod /usr to 000

[Solved] Managed to chmod /usr to 000

Hello,

Yesterday I managed to chmod my entire usr directory to 000. Obviously this did not go well at all, and it wont't boot. Is there any way to fix this?

I would think you could probably boot to the install DVD (or USB stick) and fix it from there.

I solved this issue by pressing escape after powering the machine on, then using the root shell to change the permission again.
