Post by premier69 » Thu Mar 22, 2018 9:41 am

Hello. is it possible to use the "Microsoft Miracast USB HDMI Adapter" with my Linux laptop to connect wireless display?

I can do this with both Win10 os and Android os.

The dongle id hardware. It plugs into an HDMI port. It does not care if the port is connected to a Windex , or an android, or a Mac, or ? It only processes audio/video information.

let's see if i understood you right and see if my response is apt.

ok, the hdmi port for the tv, and it's usb for power.

Now, in windows 10 you go to the notification panel in the system tray, then you click connect.
on android, swipe down the statusbar, press Cast.

but on Linux?
