Switching back to Mint's boot loader

Postby Salamancero » Mon Jun 01, 2009 1:37 pm

I decided to try triple booting XP , Ubuntu, and Mint after dual booting XP and MInt for a couple of months now. I'm happy to say that the setup worked well. It's just that Ubuntu Jaunty's boot loader is rather - how do I put it - aesthetically wanting.

Is there a way to go back to Linux Mint Gloria's bootloader or do I have reinstall both Ubuntu and Mint?

This might work.

Just use your LinuxMint Live CD to restore grub.

If you just want a prettier bootloader you could try this.

I've used this method with good success.

2 GB DDR2 800MHZ
EVGA 8800GTS 320MB
2x320GB Hitachi
