Hi all,
I have a small screen - 11.6" with 1366x768 resolution. I prefer vertical panels on small screens because they maximize the available space for applications.
I had no problem moving the default panel from the top to the side (see screenshot), but now only two of the launchers work (bluetooth and updates) - all the other launchers are unresponsive, including the main menu! Anyone have an idea what's going on?
Thankfully the main menu key responds to the super key, so I have no problem launching programs or using my system. But it's a bit annoying.

Try Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart Cinnamon. That will probably fix any glitchiness.

What is your version of Mint and what is the desktop environment? Which kernel and which architecture? If you don't know open a terminal and enter:
Paste the output here.

The problem is solved, but here is my system data in case it's useful for anyone with the same issue.
