I'm using Linux Mint MATE 18.1 Serena 64-bit at the moment.
After several months, a week ago, I started my PC in Windows 10. It's poorly updated and when I started it it was updating only to have the screen turn black with just the pointer visible. I didn't care much about it and just left it and started in LM again.
My problem: Today though, when I wanted to open a NTFS-partition I couldn't due to this:
Code: Select all
Unable to mount C-STORAGE Error mounting /dev/sda3 at /media/aily/C-STORAGE: Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000" "/dev/sda3" "/media/aily/C-STORAGE"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0). Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount. Failed to mount '/dev/sda3': Operation not permitted The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume read-only with the 'ro' mount option.
Also, if I need to remove windows or rather re-install it, since I use it now and then for some games, will it over-write my grub?
Edit: I ended up reinstalling windows 10.
